  1. 1) replace battery on motherboard

Hi, did it each time i log in.. there is no change, every time i shut down and start, the date is 01/01/2008... changes battery as well.... any advice pls...?
  3. Alternative is the BIOS is corrupted. You could try to reflash, but if the BIOS chip where the info is stored is bad, you may kill the motherboard. That's about all you can do at this point.
  4. oh, one other thing: If the jumper on the motherboard for clearing the CMOS is set up to clear the CMOS, or the jumper was removed, you may have to check it, and replace the jumper if there isn't one where there should be.
