Replacing LCD inverter on Asus notebook --- risk/benefit of leaving tape on

Hello,

I just replaced my malfunctioning inverter on an Asus m3np. The new inverter had some clear yellowish tape on the right side (facing it) and I left this on. Is there any risk in having done so due to heat, generated by the inverter?

No you'll be fine, most inverters I've seen have the tape on them when they're first sold in a new laptop. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this one Harold.
