Updating P8Z68-V PRO BIOS

Hi!

I want to update my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO motherboard to the most current BIOS version, due to me being in the military and not been able to do so for a year. I see that version 3402 is the newest. My version is 0606. So I was wondering if I can update 3402 over my 0606?

Usually this isn't a problem. Check with ASUS bios release text file (or PDF) and confirm that it doesn't mention anything about doing a particular version first, before the latest.

I updated it directly from 0606. In the beginning it didn't boot, I just got error messages which gave me chills... After searching around the web on my iPhone, I found out by default, the boot order had been changed, so it booted from my other disk in my system(I have one SSD and one HDD). I changed boot order to the SSD, and W7 booted up flawlessly.

Just wanted to let you folks know!
