How to solve cd readnig problem in my laptop

whenever i insert disc in my laptop it doesnt get read although cd rom makes sound and try to read it

Have you tried other disks to see if you have a bad disk? That disk might be highly scratched, making it unreadable. However, if that disk works fine in other CD drives, then try updating the CD drive's driver or even firmware (the latter is a last resort).

Actually the last resort is to replace the CD / DVD ROM drive.
