Hi everyone,

I am looking for some good 4 gb ram sticks to fit the Gigabyte G1 sniper 2 Motherboard.
I have been looking at some Corsair Dominator:

http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-37140533-Corsair_4GB_(2x_XMS3_2GB)_PC3-12800_(1600MHz)_DDR3_RAM_2x240_DIMM_Unbuffered_9-9

and some G-Skill sniper:

http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-37140533-Corsair_4GB_(2x_XMS3_2GB)_PC3-12800_(1600MHz)_DDR3_RAM_2x240_DIMM_Unbuffered_9-9

I just want to know if the RAM sticks are compatible with my motherboard and i am looking for other suggestions
Thanks in advance

I recommend this ram http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-37140549-G_Skill_8GB_(2x_4GB)_RipJaws_Dual_Channel_Memory_PC3_12800_(1600MHz)_DDR3_240_pi which is what I used on my board until I upgraded to 16 gb. I still use ripjaws, but 1333 to save a few $$. I don't recommend premium ram when most brands carry a lifetime warranty.

Thanks,

Will this cheaper RAM carry any performance decrease?
I will mostly use the system for gaming

No. That's my point. I just answered a post about a guy who spent more on some corsair vengence, only to find out it had the same timings as his old ram. He wasted his money. He believed the hype from corsair. Sometimes it's just good marketing.
