AMD Athlon II X4 645 Propus/ASUS M4A87TD EVO

My mobo (see title) says it is compatible with AMD Athlon II and I want to upgrade to quad core.

Since its Athlon II compatible is it also Athlon II X4 compatible? i.e. will the mobo and the CPU in the description work together?
