Will this be able to run modern games on mid to high?
if any of these components arnt powerful enough please recommend me

You should be perfectly fine. Not constant 60fps in crysis at max, but close enough.

As for CPU, the faster the better. 965 or 955 will be fine, and the BE makes them overclockable should you not be satisfied with their speed.
 


Those are synthetic benchmarks which do not represent actual real world performance. They are better than nothing, but pales in comparison to benchmarks using actual programs.

The x6 out performs the x4 because of the two extra cores. That's great if the program can use 6 cores. Games are do not use more than 4 core. Those games that can use 4 core generally do not use the 4th core efficiently. Based on an Anandtech review about multiple cores and games; going from 2 cores to 3 cores generally gives around a 26% boost in performance. Going from 3 cores to 4 cores (assuming the game supports 4 cores) resulted in an average increase in performance of around 6%.
