HD 5850 + Asus 24-inch Wide Gaming monitor

I have bought the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 Extreme 1024MB GDDR5 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX... graphics card for my rig and now I'm thinking of buying a Asus 24-inch VH242H Wide Gaming LCD TFT Monitor. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-24-inch-VH242H-Gaming-Moni...
The question is will my graphics card be able to handle the 24 inch monitor? Will I be able to play games and 3D modelling applications at a reasonable performance?

It'll be fine for games. See following reviews for some benchmarks; 1920 x 1200 would be the closet to 1080p resolution. Note that the benchmarks are based on an Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition processor.
