Mate dont even bother with the gtx 570 .I upgraded from nvidia gtx 295 to the sapphire hd6970 2gb. My new beast blows the gtx 570 away in the furmark 720 preset benchmark...I get a score of 4010 @1000 gpu 1.200 voltage 1475 memory My setup is AMD PhenomII x6 @4.1 on air 100% stable and lovin it ;)

GTX570 looks like a decent match for your system.

However, since you failed to mention your monitors resolution and your power supply make and model, can't really recommend it to you.

Depends on what games you play. They trade punches.

6970 is hard to find, unless you know where to get one. Newegg is out and the listed price is obviously an old price.

But they use a heck of a lot less power than a GTX570.

yeah i go to a microcenter around here and they dont seem to have any 6970s but they have 6950s that i could unlock but i dont trust that. i wouldnt want to spend too much more than $300 bucks on one, so, eh...
