Hello just pieced together a new HTPC build, please let me know if everything looks alright, and if you guys have any suggestions on how to make my build better. ( I plan on using an external blu ray optical drive )

I also noticed the case has room for (4) 80mm fans. Should I buy some fans, if so can you guys reccomend some high quality SILENT fans for this case.

Also taking suggestions for good software for an HTPC running win7 x64. Is MediaPortal a good option? I have a lot of MKV files so it will need to be compatible with those.

The components look good for an HTPC except the psu . In that very slim case you will appreciate a modular power supply

I like the GD05 more because of the extra height and large fans , and even in that I still use a modular psu

I agree I would rather have a modular PSU but I got this one for $16 AR and I am trying to stay on a budget. I think since I wont have a 5.25 optical drive I will have some extra space to work with.

I know this thread has been dead for a while - but I have a HTPC running in that Silverstone case.

If you are looking for silent performance you should check out upgrading to the Scythe Shruriken 100 or 110 mm low profile cooler. I have one in mine and it fits perfectly - runs silent. Pulls air in the sides of the case and exhausts out the top. No other fans needed.
