Dead Core or Everest Incorrect!?!

I recently purchased a i5 2006k. Boots up great and does everything I ask it to. I open Everest and cores 1 2 & 3 are being utilized but core 0 sits flat... @ 0%.

I tried to find if this information was true by checking resource manager but there I see all 4 cores firing fine.

What could cause Everest to not see a core correctly?

Everest was discontinued in 2010 wasn't it?

edit - comfirmed. And without updates its given Everest might not be able to work correctly on newer cpu's.
