BIOS temps vs. software temp

Which is more accurate? My BIOS temp is about 5C cooler than HW monitor and core temp.

Also, I have an i5 2500k with a hyper 212 evolution and HW monitor shows my cpu idling at about 33C. It has never gone above 48C while gaming for hours (bf3). Are these normal temps if I want to OC later on? I've been seeing that alot of people have been getting cooler idle temps

The temps are normal. The temps in BIOS and other HW monitor will never be the same.
