So I'm looking to upgrade my wife's RAM for her laptop as one of her 2gb sticks bit the dust and started giving BSODs.
Figure since replacing might as well consider upgrading as well.
Problem is, I can't find where to get another RAM of the same exact kind as I currently do. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.
Anyways, she's running an: i5 - M 580 @ 2.67 GHz - Windows 7 64bit Home
Its a Sager NP5135 - can't seem to find it on crucial's RAM finding deal either for some reason.
It's currently got 6gb ram (including the 2gb one that is causing BSODs) - so we're looking to replace the 2gb one with either
another one exactly like it or upgrade it to a 4gb. Basically, I'm just concerned about compatibility and all. I understand that
in upsetting the compatibility you can cause underclocking of the sticks, latency times being off, and I'd just rather not deal with it.
The 2gb stick is made by Apacer. P/N: 78.A2GC6.9L1 S/N: 201036113668. It's a 2GB SOD PC3-10600 CL9.
I can't even find it on the actual Apacer website. Again, may have looked in wrong location, but I'm doubting it.
Any questions, let me know and I'll get back to this as soon as possible.
