Hello, I am trying to figure out why I can only get a resolution of 1280x720 on my LCD when I hook up my pc to my TV.When I change it to anything above 1280X720 the texts gets to small to read and pic size doesn't look right. I have a Xbox 360 hooked up though compent and can get 1980x1080 resolution. I am hooking up my PC with a HDMI cable and it gives me 1280x720, and when hook it up with Hdmi/DVI pc port on tv, it has a max res of 1360x768. Is there any way I can get 1980x1080 res on my tv using a HDMI or not. Thank you

You should be able to get it to work.

I'm kind of confused. You are trying to go from PC to HDTV through HDMI. That's it?

Some HDTVs have only one HDMI port configured to receive input from a PC. If this is the case for your TV, make sure you are using the correct HDMI port. On y TV it's HDMI 1.

1) You might have to mess with the overscan settings on your TV.
2) Make sure your catalyst control thing (I don't have an ATI) is configured for a TV.
3) Make sure you are setting it to 1080p (and not 1080i)
4) Make sure your refresh rate is set to your TV's native refresh rate.
5) If you don't have the 1080p resolution available to select, you might have to create a custom resolution. There should be a way to do this with the catalyst thing.
