Got my new mobo, ram, and CPU installed into my old gaming rig. I'll be upgrading the GPU/PSU in a month or so. So I want to utilize the i5-2500k's on-board HD3000 graphics until I upgrade.

Will the PSU listed below be able to handle a stock speed 2500k, Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 Mobo, 2 7200RPM drives, 8GB g.Skill sniper ram, and a DVD RW?

PSU:

Thermaltake Purepower 430 W NP (It's actaully rated at 350 W)

+3.3v 28a
+5v 30a
+12v 18a
-5v 0.5a
-12v 0.8a
+5vsb 2a

Yes I know, not pretty numbers.

Also have an Antec SL400

+3.3v 28a
+5v 38a
+12v 23a
-5v 0.5a
-12v 0.8a
+5vsb 2a

Only problem with the Antec is i'd have to make the dual 4-pin for the 8-pin connector using Molex connections.

Yeah... very poor options but like I said will only be a month. I could also just run the system with 1 HD if power is an issue.

Solution
Actually the thermaltake PSU is only capable of 216 watts on the +12/v rail.I wouldn't suggest using that PSU.

Use the Antec PSU.If the Antec PSU has a PCI-E 6 pin you can use that in place of the 8 pin.Just don't O.C.

With the TR2 or Antec? Only throwing that Antec into the mix is because of a 23a +12 line vs 18a with the TR2.... downfall I need to max the 8-pin from molex's.

The Antec is an old P4/Prescott PSU. So not a standard pcie plug. Here is the PSU:

Please be accurate on your opinion. Waiting to get a steal on a top-rated PSU during Black Friday etc but don't want to have any downtime either. Also would like to test the CPU to make sure its stable @ stock etc.

Edit: Also Newegg lists it as 18a on +12 as well as the picture says that. PSU in my hand right now says 23a so I'm going with 23.

Sorry but I'm not risking making a cable for an old PSU to potentially destroy my board/parts. Just ordered this on rush delivery:

If I get the rebate I'll be paying a whooping $47.84 for the PSU plus I get a free 22x LG DVD DL burner for free... So end of the day total of $26.85 spent on a "qualifying" PSU with one GPU. Not bad at all! And a few reviews are saying the PSU to die after 2 years on heavy use or 3 years on normal use. For $26.85 I can live with only getting 2 years out of it lol! :)
