Hi, I had been planning to use a ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 then I read these on reviews:

First, have you encountered this problem?

2. If you don't have this problem what is your case?

I am currently planning on getting a Corsair 400R, does it fit this board?

Solution
Yes it fit, there is no problem, its just a fact that it is ATX size, a bit smaller,

but with no defect.

I build 3 PC's with that mobo and its just fine. No problems at all.

I recommend this mobo any time someone needs ~$130 mobo.

Hi there,

I have built 5 computers recently using this motherboard and abosolutely love it, have not ever had an issue with mounting or the 24 pin plug

Ive used the following cases:

Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 Full Tower
Coolermaster HAF miditower that supports atx
Antec DF
Antec 300
Thermaltake commander
and one i can't remember

but overall never had any issues, the board itself is quite good in terms of things you get for the price.
So basically I've used it in midi towers that support atx, mid towers and full towers.
There is only one issue where the provided cables for PSU did not reach the actual plug but that's not the motherboards fault, luckily i had spares and was able to switch the cable.

Thanks, I already ordered Mobo b/c Newegg promoted it with a $15 giftcard and a $40 Mcafee A/V Key. When I read about that problem today I was frantically scrambling to see whether it is serious and whether I should a. RMA the board on arrival or b. get a case I am sure it will fit(haven't ordered Case yet).

p.s Either of you guys installed a NH-D14 or similar sized AirCooler on this board? Does it block any of the Ram slots. I am planning to use G.Skill Ares low profile Ram so it should fit but I want confirmation.

Vengeance Low Profile heat spreaders have a reduced height of 1.03" (26.25mm). They're designed for high-performance systems with extra-large CPU coolers, small form factor system builds, or any other space-constrained application where standard Vengeance memory might not fit.

Or this one.

I recommend CORSAIR Vengeance 99% of the time, quality RAM and low profile with XMP profile.
And if u will get an aftermarket CPU cooler, low profile is the worry free remedy with perfect fit with any large cooler.

Unfournately I couldn't return the Key( it is a free gift and part of the promotion), but I guess I could try to sell it on Ebay(since I haven't used it yet). I believe the Mobo comes with 2 month of Norton Trail & I already have a Norton account so maybe I can just transfer over.

Thanks for the Ram recommendation, I will double check to see if G.Skill Ares is the same size(probably is) and consider either that or the Corsair Vengeance you recommended.

SSD wise I am all set with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147164, $198+ Free shipping.

FYI here is my current build:

Processor Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz $229.99
Memory G.Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO 8G $43.99 (Considering getting 16G if no other upgrade needed)
Graphics EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW $399.99
Motherboard ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 $119.99(ordered, -$15 for the Gift card)
Optical Drive LG Black SATA 24X DVD Burner $14.39 (ordered,)
Power supply Seasonic X650Gold $118.99 (ordered, was on a -$21 discount, probably overpriced still)
Storage Samsung 830 256G $198.99
Enclosure Corsair 400R $99.99
CPUFan COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO $34.99 (Considering upgrade to NH-D14)
Monitor ASUS VG276H 27” 120Hz $599.99
Total: $1,861

Have about $100 left in the budget and another $30 reserved for shipping/ RMA shipping, HDD I will get later when I need it. Not right now with my PS3 just upgraded to 640G and having 2 TB external, HDD is easy to install anyway.
