Hey forum users this is my first thread ive made so please dont flame me if it one similar already exists :D Just looking for some good advice.
Im currently in the process of upgrading my PC and have upgraded all exept my GPU(s). And am stuck on what to get. Ill mainly be using it for gaming so will be looking at the best bang for buck and performance wise. The main cards ive been checking out is the HD5870 and HD6870 (I will be looking to crossfire). Now ive heard that the HD5870 beats the 6870 hands down at single card performance but when it comes to crossfire the 6870 seems to take the lead? is that true? and for OC wise which of the two or any other added cards would be the better bet?

thanks for any reply in advance :)
Specs:
P55H-A
Intel i3 530
4GB ddr3 1600 MHz Kingston
HD5870

I am looking to overclock in a few months. So with it OC to 4.0GHz+ would you recommend CF of 5870 or 6870 or are they pretty much similar in both?

since im on a sight budget (GPU are very expensive were i live) i will proberly consider the single 6950. In CF how would it perform compared to 5870 and 6870?

AMD 6xxx series have vastly imporved in xfire performace. You will definitly get much better performance in dual 6870's.

Whats the make/model/power of your PSU? For xfire, you may end up having to upgrade that before you can do anything.

unofortunatly that is the case. Got a Coolermaster 600w 36A on the 12V rails. Ill only be looking to Xfire late this year. till then ill need a card that will give me the performance i want with or without Xfire. So im looking for single and dual performance.
