The DDR3 1866 is roughly 1% faster than DDR3 1600 with both Intel and AMD based systems. The only times the faster memory is better is with integrated graphics and when encoding video it can help.

ok, so it would make more sense to just get the 1866 right? ill be using the Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz and it says "Dual-channel DDR3 Memory Controller supports DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 memory" should I still stick with the 1866?
