Hi
I recently (last week) bought a new Dell Inspiron 580. It came equipped with the usual Intel HD graphics, and i'd very much like to give it something better. I've got 2 choices for graphics cards, and I'd like an educated opinion on which one would be the better choice. I plan on using this PC for a few games (L4D2, Rift) and also for 3D modeling with Maya and Zbrush and the like.
Sorry, but im fairly inexperienced with understanding the hardware.
My two choices are a PNY brand GeForce GT220 with 1024 MB DDR2
and a EVGA brand GeForce GT220 with 1GB of DDR3 that costs $20 more.
I've heard that EVGA is a better brand for Graphics cards, but are the hardware differences enough to warrant spending a little extra?
I'm pretty sure I have the hardware capabilities (power supply is 350W) to run either of these, and either will fit in my machine just fine I think.
Thanks in advance
