Help me get a sound drive loaded on my computer

Hello,
my boyfriend deleted the sound drive on out dell laptop which is a inspiron 1501 and ive been trying to fix it but i'm not good at hardware issues.the only noise the computer will make is an error beep. like if i try to exit a page the wrong way it will beep when the box pops up to say "are you sure you want to exit" .. plesae help! i really miss using itunes

Not going to judge you by your story but you can find the audio driver by going to dell's driver support. I did the job for you: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=INS_PNT_1501 Hope this solves everything. Scroll down to audio and download the driver. If it doesn't tell you to restart your computer after installation, I would do it anyway.
