Upgrading from 260 GTX

I am about to upgrade my system to a i5 2500k/ 8gb ripjaw and I feel like my old 260 gtx will bottleneck my computer. I am not sure whether or not I should spend the money for a 560 ti or wait until winter (some time around christmas) for something better.

1680x1050; I'll probably upgrade my monitor this christmas so 1920x1080.

I guess the main question I have is there any "big" upgrade expected between now and Christmas or am I safe to upgrade now?

GPU markets stable until at least early next year if not until Q2, until 28nm is ready. Biggest thing that might happen are custom 6870X2s, which you could just buy 2 6870s and crossfire.
