I Don't Want Memory "Bottle-neck"

Hi -

Here's what I have (that's relevant) in my build:

CPU - INTEL CORE i7-3930
MB - ASUS P9X79 DELUXE
COOLER - COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 PLUS
GPU - ASUS GTX 560 TI

I need advice regarding memory that will NOT bottleneck this build. There is room for 8 DIMM's and I'm looking to eventually max out at 64GB's - right now I would like to fill 4 slots with 8 GB's each. Height of the modules might be a factor due to the over-hang of the CoolerMaster CPU cooler.

Also, what should I look for in "Cas" and Latency" numbers? Which is most important?

What are you running that needs that much ram? 99.99% of people won't need more than 8gb.

I do a lot of video rendering (Sony Vegas Pro), Photoshop and Photodex.

16 GB is enough to assure RAM won't hold you back in any application. Any more than that is just overkill.
