Not picking up my hard drive?

I just replaced the stock xtremegear psu my computer came with because one day the computer just shut off and wouldn't turn on again.

I replaced it with a corsair gs800. I'm pretty sure I plugged everything in...the 24 and 8 pins into the motherboard, and the pci-e into the graphics card...as well as the fans and the cd drive.

When I turn it on, it goes through MSI's start screen but then it tells me something about No hard disk detected. Then it goes to the MSI screen again and gives me a choice to boot with...but there's only one choice, cd/dvd atapi drive. I choose that and it doesn't work.

I double checked the connections I have plugged in and those are secure. there are lights flashing on the motherboard so that's getting power. That's the 24 pin one right? I also checked the one in the corner, the 8 pin one...seems to be secure. They both clicked in.

Could someone please tell me what I might have done wrong?

Oh and here's the computer information that came with my invoice. Ignore the PSU, it now has what I said.

Have you entered BIOS to see if it sees the drive?

Yes. The bios only picks up the CD drive.

However I look at the specs from the bios and it tells me everything, even what it's not picking up.

I honestly have no idea.

SATA 1 has the cd/dvd drive listed
SATA 2 on are all disabled, there's nothing there

but...the system specs show every component in the machine

silly but, you've enabled SATA 2 and...? or plugged the HDD into SATA 1 and see if it's the opposite than what you have now?

I didn't manually enable anything. That's how it was when I first went in. I never messed with the BIOS before.

Also, I didn't originally plug in the HDD so I'm assuming it was properly placed from the start. I bought it like this. All I did was replace the PSU
