iI have ms-7253(k9v6m) motherboard,current cpu is athlon 64x2 4000,I s it possible to put in athlon 64x2 5400+ :sol:

http://msi.com/product/mb/K9VGM-V.html#/?div=CPUSupport. Highlight "support" and click on "cpu suport" when it appears. There are two versions of the 5400; the 65w version requires bios file 1.8. Check your post screen before flashing. You may already have it. I've used msi's live update software several times while running windows. Just disable the "boot block" settings in the bios first and be online while running the program so it can search for your file. You listed the wrong board number according to msi's archives. The "6" should be a "g".
