Asus notebook computer wont pass loading personal settings

My sons computer wont pass the microsoft windows xp window loading your personal settings. I need help I already went to bios settings and changed the boot booster to disabled but that did nothing. Please help

What kind of computer, brand model, installed hardware, and have you changed anything recently? Are you familar with booting into safe mode?
