Yes it will provide enough power, but you will have to use 2 molex to pci-e adapters.

I would recommend a different motherboard for sli, look at the asrock 970 it offers sli,usb3,sata 6gbs and is bulldozer ready. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Yes .. you can sli gforce 6600. You have to look at idle power and power under max load. Also PSU will go higher under max load. Also ther is efficiency as a 80+ certified. So you only get 80% of your power delivered

i3 2100 is better in gaming.
Also, get 1333Mhz DDR3.
Get a cheap DH61WW MoBo for 60$.

and why the athlon is better than the phenom ?

The phenom is better due to its l3 cache and it has an unlocked multiplier, however it is an oem, so it does not come with a cooler. You would have to buy an aftermarket one putting the cost up higher.

i3 2100 pulls 100FPS in MAFIA II if paired with a GTS 450. That too in highest settings.

If you need to fit into 500 just get i3-2100 and maybe even HD6870 and you'll be cool like a cucmber. The problem if you want sli/cf in the future u have to spend more on the mobo with 2 pcix that support 8x/8x. I'd rather go for single gpu mobo and decent CPU

screw phenoms. i-3 2100 will beat any amd in gaming. Sli 460 idk if he has budget big enough ... that adds up to mobo cost

No. The tri core is better. They both do have the possibility of unlocking into a quad core, but that is hit or miss.

3.4Ghz would be a safe overclock with that rosewill cooler with a high end cooler i think you could get it to about 3.7Ghz
