Bad mobo?

So I ust odereda gigabyte Ga z77 dsh3 and all of a sudden when i put in an old ati card (was seeing if it worked compared to old 460nvidia) it gave me the bsod. It can't get past the bios ad when it does it restarts or gives me the bsod after windows loads (which is like 1/10 times t get pass the bios). I go by oe time in safe mode and it loaded normally and had n probles. also when i went to the boot menu it froze many times before it evenhad a chance to load windows. I'm not sure whtat the problem is on the aount the mobo prides itself n dual bios and durability from accidents.

another thingI should mention is that my topos are caused by a very tiny netbook and the bsod comnlysas SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

ALSO i unplugged th hdd and it still freezes at bio. checking the ram sticks now bt thees two sticks and so far every lot with he diffeent ram as been he same bios freeze

How old of a card? Do you have any issues with the GTX460? What are the system specs?
