Asus Sabertooth Z77 & CM V6GT

Hey guys,

Will the Asus Sabertooth z77 mobo paired with a Cooler Master V6GT cpu cooler block any RAM slots on this Mobo??

Just wondering before i buy the RAM if i should get 4x4 or 2x8.

if you buy low profile ram you will be o.k. i used to have the v6 and it blocked one of my ram slots i had a different motherboard though but i think it does it with any atx size motherboard

Just found this review of the CM V6GT on Newegg, anyone have the same experience? Does it really not fit on the z77 sabertooth?

Review:

An excellent fan, but make sure you have ample room.

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing, awesome light strip

Cons: If you have an new ASUS Sabertooth Z77 mobo, this WILL NOT fit. The thermal armor that covers the capacitors and other stuff around the CPU socket gets in the way.

Other Thoughts: Also, one of the mounting brackets for the LGA 1556 was not completely threaded on one side. The screw didn't firmly mount the cooler to the mobo.

Corsair Vengeance, but just found out that this cpu cooler isn't compatible with this mobo. So I think I'll be getting a Frio
