Would this build actually work? Please Help :)

Hey, I decided to make my own build and I just want to know if everything is compatible with everything. Feel free to edit the build but keep in mind this is my low budget build because well.. I don't have much money so if you decide to make tweeks keep that in mind. Also I will use this for mainly Editing videos, 3D animation, and gaming. I also plan to eventually upgrade the system in the future.

Here are the parts I have chosen:

Motherboard: BIOSTAR A870 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138324

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851

Case + Power Supply (I happenened to choose these 2 and they came in a bundle) : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.694193

Video Card: GIGABYTE GV-R567D3-1GI Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125360

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697

Then the rest is just windows 7 and stuff like that. I already have a keyboard, mouse, and moniter.

    A few things...

MB - Fine and all, but any new AMD build should consider using an AM3+ motherboard for its compatability with Bulldozer (yet to be released). The AM3+ board will be more "future proof"...

CPU - The 1055t is not a Black Edition so you won't be able to overclock and will be stuck at 2.8GHz. If you can swing the additional $20 go for the 1090t.

Ok thanks! I was actually thinking of getting a am3+ mobo. The kind of rendering I do is needs a lot of processing power. Thanks again.

  5. I need to correct my earlier statement. You CAN overclock the 1055T, but only by increasing the FSB. This also impacts the memory and other components... Not difficult, but there is more to it than simply cranking up the multiplier of a Black Edition CPU. Google is your friend for overclocking examples...
  6. You don't want that Rosewill PSU. It passed Jonnyguru testing some six years ago, but is not good by modern standards. A quality modern PSU has full range active PFC (no little voltage switch) and some level of 80+ certification for efficiency. Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX, and Enermax/LEPA are among the better brands; Rosewill does have a few newer ones (their RG "Green" series) that have received favorable competent technical reviews, such as at HardwareSecrets.
