Corsair Vengeance 2x8gb 1600 ram wont work?

Motherboard : Asus CG5275-AR003
Processor: Intel Core i5 650@3.2GHz
Graphics : Geforce GTX 560 Ti
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Boots up fine and posts perfectly then shuts off, no error message or anything with these 2x8gb sticks in. Works fine with with my old ram sticks. Im not sure whats causing the problem, please help thankyou.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a 2010 system.

While it states it upports up to 16 gigs of Ram, That may be 4 x 4 gig modules. The Mother board may not support 8 Gig modules. Can probably be verified in MB manual (or At Asus support web site). it is also possible, if you have NOT updated the MB Bios, there may be a Updated revision to the Bios that adds/improves memory support.
