Last response: in Motherboards

Hey there, i bought a cheap Biostar K8M800 Micro AM2 motherboard for a computer i'm going to sell tommorow, but it doesnt work with the processor, an AMD Athlon X2 245. It does however work with an older CPU, an AMD Sempron. I don't know what is causing this, maybe the bios needs to be updated? The processor isn't compatible with this board? I'm not sure.. Thanks to anyone who can help me :)

That CPU isn't on the CPU list: You need to buy a motherboard that supports it.

Thanks for the reply, that sucks. I want to sell the computer with that motherboard but with the Sempron processor its very slow, even youtube videos lag.. I could update the built in graphics drivers but there isn't a windows 7 version.. Any suggestions?

Other than getting a compatible motherboard, the only solution is to sell the parts.

Well this computer isn't for me, it's what i'm selling. The computer moves incredibly slow and ram doesn't make a difference. I know this isn't the right section but could i put windows xp/vista black over windows 7? I'm sure it would work faster like that.
