More about heatsink case
  1. That's the case with lots of different case's.Either you won't be able to use the side fan or it will be touching.

I suggest going with this case instead,it will allow you to use the side fan with any type of CPU cooler.

As for a CPU cooler I believe this can help...

  2. thx 4 the replay....the heat sink link doesn't help the rampage gene its 1366....those coolers are 1156 ...yea the case its not bad ...im looking for something more sleek...
i really dont like the side with that big mesh...its just preference i ques
as the coolers im looking at this Prolimatech Megahalems, Noctua NH-D14 and the Thermalright Venomous-X.
just need a good case ...even if i pass that 200$ buy 20 bucks its not the end of the world:)

    thx 4 ur input anyway
  3. Most likely if a cooler will fit for 1156 it will fit for 1366.

But out of those the Noctua NH-D14 is the best.
  4. Great buy for $450.

Why not wait to see how you do with it before committing $200 for something you might not need?

There is nothing wrong with running a cpu or graphics card a bit hot, so long as you don't exceed the limits.

    I really don't think you need a 4.0 oc to drive a GTX480 to it's limits.

If you hate the case, then by all means spend what you must to get a case you love.
  5. You don't really need your 2600k at 4ghz to push your GTX580 do you?lol

I think a CPU cooler such as the NH-D14 is a very good idea. The cooler a CPU is the longer it will last, that goes for O.C.ing as well.
  6. guy's my i7 its a 930 running at 2.8ghz ...with stock cooling ...now 2.8....u know i saw 4ghz...and now it etches :))))....but i cant put a aftermarket cooling in it..here's the link for my pc..

    http://www.falcon-nw.com/

it is the fragbox as u see it

should i just stay stock?...gtx 480 idle runs at 55c cpu runs at 48-44c on cores...

bigger case...better cooling more ghz on cpu....it is worth ?

This is the best case i would recommend... It's best only for air cooling but not good for water cooling...

    Best cooler:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118097&Tpk=zalman%2012x
    or
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835999015
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835999032

Accessories when OCing! Since your OCing high 4GHz, Get this NorthBridge cooler because it's ganna be HOT, recommend NB stay under 67*C Unless you got a board with a fan on it... Note sure if it fits...
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835999031

Note: I picked these because the Case is better at lower cost and the Cooler is better for lower cost and/or is the best... Zalman always makes good cooler as will as Noctua but im guessing It's time for a ultimate air cooler to be used and it's the Zalman link above... The Zalman cooler i linked above in my opinion is the best right now, the low rating was just some stuff missing and or too bit for their retarded mind lol...
  8. That's like a lan party or HTPC case.Looks really cool but it's probably not giving the best airflow.

4ghz for the 930 is definitly doable.Even if your not going to O.C. I would suggest getting some type of aftermarket heatsink.
  9. legend killer i like the zalman the 99$...but i had before the antec 900 and give's u few options to hide the cables....im a freak im that area:)...i hate cables....
i eve thought about the corsair 600t

Seems like you want a white case.
The 600T is your best option imo.
You can fit any high-end air cooler you like in that monster = it's 10.4" wide.
If you want the best go for a Thermalright cooler.
    http://www.thermalright.com/products/
The Silver Arrow or Archon will fit in the 600T no problem.
Both coolers come with the TY-140mm fan which is a better fan then anything Noctua has ever made.

    Good stuff!
Fans are a little weak on the Silent X edition btw.
