Asus motherboard wont register dvi and unable to use dual mode

I have a Asus Motherboard M4A78T-E with onboard connection for VGA and DVI. Whenever I plugged in the Digital port, the system shows no signal whereas the VGA works out fine. Can someone help me please.

What kind on monitor are you connecting to? Also, are you using a DVI to VGA adapter with your monitor cable?

Thank you for replying. Actually I'm using a Hyvision Monitor and the connection goes from DVI to DVI

Check your monitor to see if you can manually set it to receive a signal via the DVI port. You should also try swapping to a different DVI cable if you have one.
