Hi guys,

Just a quick question, does the mobo mentioned in the title support 5.1/7.1 surround sound headphones?

Like the ones in this video:

It seems to have 4 adapters, and my mobo which is the Sabertooth 990fx, has six but I'm unsure if they're the correct ones to support this?

Thanks guys.

It should. You can use the software control provided by your onboard sound device's maker to change the output from stereo to 4.1 to 5.1 to 6.1, etc, up to the max supported by your device.

You still need a surround sound capable headphone.

Or to avoid this hassle, find one of those USB-Surround sound headphones. Only 1 cable to plug in, and you don't have to worry about the number of channels.
