Problems starting m5a99x

I have a m5a99x evo mobo with 8gb of ddr3 Ripjaws ram and a fx 6200 processor. Upon start up it leads me to a screen with a big American Megatrends logo and it ID's my cd drive and CPU on the screen.... Down at the bottom it always says CPU fan error even when all fans are removed and also it says press F1 to start setup utility... When I do press F1 it leads me to a black screen and doesn't do anything...
I'm really worried my CPU isn't compatible but asus says for the bios rev I have it should work
Also on the mobo the Boot Device POST light keeps lighting and I am at a loss right now

Someone please enlighten me as to what to do

check if your cpu fan is connected to the cpu fan header on the motherboard and the fan spin on start up
