That depends on what you have now however considering you only have 2GB RAM I assume the system is outdated. If that's the case it's probably better to upgrade the entire system and not just the CPU

first and foremost, the easiest would be get a lot more ram. though i am under the belief you are on an old system(duh) so it might be more advantageous to upgrade the motherboard, cpu and ram.
here is a suggestion depending on what your PSU is:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8120 3.1GHz 8-Core Processor ($144.00 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($88.88 @ NCIX US)
Memory: Corsair XMS3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $346.85

i just put together a quick list of suggestions. you do have to get 16 gig of ram but it helps and there is a less expensive processors. what really matters is the size and quality of your PSU.
