Options for MW3 Gaming with Budget

Gd day, recently my comp been popping blue screen and i think either my gfx card or mobo needs replacement. Hence, am thinking abt upgrading them (with budget abt 500-600) and with the recent release of MW3 not sure what to upgrade and what to reuse from my current set up for the newer games.

Current Rig
XFX 750I INTEL 775 DDR2
Q6600 chipset
Radeon R4870, previous xfx9600GTX got fried while multi-boxing WoW
4gig ram
650W PSU
windows XP

After reading some thread about http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/fastest-graphics-card-radeon-geforce,3067.html not entirely sure if the Q6600 will fully utilize the gpu or shld i just upgrade the chipset,mobo and gpu with my budget?

Could be a bad stick of ram also. Newegg has some asus p67 boards for around $150 and the 2500K is around $220. If you live in the states, look for specials on black friday weekend. 8 gb of ram is going for around $30 on special nearly every day. Today one of newegg's shellshocker deals is mushkin 8 gb 1333 ddr3 for $25 after rebate.
