Hi all !
I have Asus CUSL-2 m/b with 128 MB (2 DIMMS) of PC-100 Ram installed. Recently I got one more DIMM of 128 MB PC-133 RAM and I want to install it, but I would like to know - is it gonna work ? I'm running Celeron 667 (not overcklocked), so my FSB runs only at 66 MHz.

should be fine. Won't be able to run at 133 because the other dimms will limit you, but otherwise it should be compatible.

As far as I know, in the older mothernboards there were problems with installing different kinds of memory. Is that true ? And what about the newer motherboards ?

I've never had a problem mixing PC-100 and PC-133 RAM. Never seen a problem either- only "heard" like you have. Most the time people who say they "heard" something got all mixed up with something else. Hear what I'm saying? If you are, don't repeat it cause it'll get mixed up. hehe =)

I had a mixed RAM setup, 2x128 pc-100 and pc-133. My computer is still down so I am not totally sure that it was only the RAM however, removal of the older pc-100 DIMM really helped the system. If it was only the RAM, I am not sure that the pc-100 did not just got bad. Just my experience.

It should work (if they're all made by compatible companies, some companies memory doesn't work with each other), but your memory will be limited to 100MHz because of the PC100.

I just got pc133 128mb ram and saw that pc 150 is getting lower and lower in price. I take it if I bought the 150 I would be limited by the 133?
