hello everyone ,
I'm new to the forum, I have the following pc :
intel pentium dual core E5300 2.6ghz oc'ed to 3.2ghz
2gb ddr2 ram
ASRock n73v-s motherboard
ATX-p4 500W (25A on the 12V rail)
nvidia geforce 9500gt 1gb ddr2 OC'ed to 730/1700/520
I can get a gts 450 1gb GDDR5 for free , can my psu handle it ??
it has 2 molex , and I have 1 already plugged to my hard disk
so I still have only 1 molex available :sarcastic:
can I run the card ? if not can it run a 9800gt ?
I heard that AMD released the HD 6670 which doesn't require power connectors ? is it faster than the 9500gt?
I play crysis , crysis 2 , dirt 3 , metro 2033 , homefront , my monitors max resolution is 1280x1024
thx in advance :)

The cards that require power connectors need pci-e power connectors. 2 Molex can be adapted into an pci-e, but you need 2 free molex. For those games, I would not go under a gts 450 or ati 5750. Do you not have a PCI-e power connection? If not, the HD 6670 would be a good boost from your 9500 gt.

gts 450 uses one pci-e power connector, unless its a special cooler which i doubt. any way i bet that psu has one if not is should have 2 free molex

thx for the answers everybody :)
well I got that psu yesterday for only 17$ , I looked at the box it said 25A on the 12V rail which is good because my old p4-400w psu had 14A on the 12V rail , but the old psu has 2 free molex , but I highly doubt that 14A can handle my rig and a gts 450... my new psu has 2 free molex but one of them is used to my HDD and I still have 1 free and I have one black cable that is free but its the black sata connector I have 1 of them used and the second one is free along with a free molex ..... is there something called sata to molex converter does it work in my situation  ? how does the HD 6670 compares to 9800gt green edition ?
