What is the cheapest card I can get that will let me play 2 or 3 year old games at low to medium graphics settings? Specifically I need it to play the game FUEL at least on low settings on a 1024 by 768 display. The computer is a Dell XPS 400 with 1gb ram, 2.8GHz Pentium D dual core CPU ,and a 375W power supply. Thanks in advance!

Also, would this stick of ram work in this computer? -

5570/6570 would probably suit your needs.

any ddr2 ram will work. what games are you trying to play exactly? that may help you decide what to do. Also, what video card do you currently have? is it just onboard video? a GT240 would be worth looking at or 5670. But without knowing what games you want to play, its hard to make a reccommendation.

Should be fine choice if you are just looking to play fuel. This also depends on resolution as this is bottom end for gaming. Also what cpu do you have?

I'll be playing at 1024 by 768. My CPU is a 2.8Ghz Pentium D dual-core. BTW Newegg suggests having at least a 400 watt power supply. Will this work with a 375 Watt power supply?

Yes it should be fine the card would likely pull less than 50w

Great, one more question. Will the old Pentium D be a problem on games such as FUEL and DIRT?

Okay one more question (last one I promise). Will I need to worry about overheating? Will I need to add any fans?
