Hi

I've had a Logitech Force 3D Pro for a few months now and it's not working right, i.e. when I pull all the way up, it doesn't actually go all the way up.

It's getting really annoying since my planes keep crashing. :fou:  :fou:  :fou:  :fou:

Is this something that just happens after it's been used for a while or is there a problem?

XD in the fsx window (if your using fsx) look for calibrate joystick, and run windows calibration

Yes, it's FSX.

The joystick doesn't have a calibration feature; only a "test" feature.

It did come with "Logitech Gaming Software" but that doesn't work since I get a message saying "Logitech Profiler was unable to detect any game controllers. Please ensure the device is connected..." even though my joystick is plugged in to the power and to the USB.

okay, goto control panel, devices and printers, find and right click your joystick and click game controller settings, then in the little window click properties and make sure everyrthing is going as far as it should

OK, I just figured out how to calibrate it (had to press Ctrl and Shift and then click properties) but it didn't make a difference. It still doesn't respond correctly.

I've installed the software from the CD but when I try and run it I get the message "Unable to detect device" or something like that. I have checked that the joystick's LED is on but I still get that message.

if you are running xp you need the wingman calibration software on logitechs site. Otherwise I would initiate a warranty return at this point. It has a 1 yr warranty.

I'll download the wingman calibration software and tell you how it goes. :)

I can't really return it since I live in NZ and my mom bought it from India.
