Is the Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard going to work okay if I put in an i5-3570k cpu

Sure, it'll work, but since you're getting a 3570K, I'd suggest a Z77 or Z75 board so that you can OC it. No OC'ing with a H77 board.

You're good to go, then, although you can drop down to the 3550, if you want, in that case. No real reason to get the 3570K if you won't ever OC. Sure, a 3570K is only $20 more, but you can still drop down to the 3450 to save even more, if you want.
