Can you put a solid state hard drive in a pci-e slot

have a mini ssd hard drive out of an asus i have to get data off of. Its PCI-E, can I use a PCI-E slot on my PC to read it?

  1. this is the only solution.but in pci-e x1 not x16 the smaller slot.
  2. A SSD is not a Hard drive... and yes, you can use a PCI-E slot on your PC to read it. It will fit into any PCI-E slots, from 1x to 16x.
