Worth it to upgrade from phenom ii x3 to x6 or fx series?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming computer. Will I see much performance increase for mainly gaming if I upgrade my current CPU to either the Phenom II x6 1100t or FX-8120?


Here is my current machine:
Phenom II x3 720
Sabertooth 990FX
XFX Radeon 5850 1gb
8GB DDR3 RAM

1100t is better then fx-8120. My advice is Phenom II x4 960T. Almost everybody unlocked the 960T in six core. And is cheaper.

not worth $5 to hope you can get an x6 out of an x4, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103856 overclocks to 3.8 to 4.0ghz instead of 4.2ghz

Yeah I tried, but it doesn't unlock.

960T if you arent that experienced in overclocking, since BE will always be easier to OC than a non BE, but if you are good at it then 1035T is a great choice too, as noob2222 pointed out.
