Bios recovery seems to fail

I was running a metest last night and it froze. Now my bios seems to be corrupted. So I followed my motherboard's (an Asus M5A88-M) instructions and tried bios recovery by using a flash drive with the "M5A88M.rom" on it. It runs the programming and when its done it tells me to power off my system and power it back on to get my system back. I do that and it runs the bios recovery again and again asks for a cd or flash drive with "M5A88-M" on it.

I have tried the rom file on the motherboard driver disk and the most up to date one on their site. Am I doing something wrong or is this a lost cause?

  1. Solved it. My RAM was bad I guess. Switched it out and it booted up fine.
