I5 2500k Price gone up!

Does anyone know why the i5 2500k has shot up so much in price ? used to be able to find it easy for 200 now its up to 229.99 on tiger and 224.99 at newegg. and even Amazon is following now at 224.99. Any idea?

I don't know why exactly but I'm glad I got mine when I did. I don't know if they just decided to raise the prices or if it was a cause and effect thing like a natural disaster or something. Someone on here said that there was a tsunami or something in Thailand and after that prices went up on HDD's maybe its something similar with this.

It's XMas shopping season and with HD manufacturers milking the Thailand floods for $100 a pop on each HD, everybody else wants in.
