How can we install graphics and sound options on pc

sir i hv installed new operating system on my system.everythng is ok but there is no sound and no graphics.i m unable to see any video.so plz give me some suggestions for getting all these requirements.thnks

First of all what is your graphics card model,what sound card do you have,what is your os and have you installed all the drivers?
