Approximate Purchase Date: Hopefully two weeks, will be buying in
store at Microcenter.

Budget Range: $600, willing to pay more if needed

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, school work,
streaming movies to 360

Parts Not Required: Keybaord, Mouse, Monitor, Soundcard, Graphics card
(have a 560TI I can move over, may get another), PS (have a Corsair
650W, may get a new one if I buy a second 560TI), Hard Drive (have an
Intel SDD and a 2 TB HDD)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Microcenter.com , would like to buy
everything in store

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: Would like to overclock my CPU eventually, but not a
priority right now.

SLI or Crossfire: Want to do eventually, but not sure if I will have
the extra cash right now.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Here's what I've chosen so far

Intel i5 2500K:
$179

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Z68 ATX Intel Motherboard
$209

Vengeance Series 8GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop
Memory Kit (Two 4GB Memory Modules)
$84.99

Three Hundred ATX Mid Tower Case
$56.99

The actually is a combo deal at the moment for the Mobo+CPU for $350.

Just wondering if everything is compatible and if it would be worth it
to go with a better case.

Would be willing to order one or two things online, but would like to
buy most of it in store.

I'd suggest a cheaper motherboard (the MSI Z68MA-G45 ) which is $120 at Newegg, and not available at Microcenter

You have a basic mismatch between the case and MB. The MB has headers for front panel usb 3, but the Antec 300 doesn't have front panel usb 3 ports.

The three hundred case is really starting to show it's age. I'd recommend the Cooler Master Storm Enforcer, which has USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case:

You can also save some money on the memory. Try this. Same specs:

you can get a bay device that fits into a drive bay with multiple USB 3 ports , and usually a card reader too .

No reason to change cases
