Hello guys. I am looking to purchase a new graphics card for my 2 year old HP so that i could play Starcraft II. My computer's PSU is only i believe 300 Watts so know my choices are limited but im looking to spend 100$ or less. So, please recommend me a good budget graphic's card that would allow me to play Starcraft II decently online that is 100$ or less. Thanks.

so looking at that the difference between those two cards does not seem like much at all. would the 24% difference between there textel rate's create a noticeable difference when running the game? and do you believe that if i went with the 5670 that i would be able to play at least medium settings consistently without the frame dropping to below 30 when there is a lot going on on screen?

my processor is a dual core at 2.6 GHz and the resolution of my monitor is 1440 x 900. for the 25 dollars more would the 6670 give me that much more of an advantage of playing the game? the one thing that i really want is that the framerate does not dip below 30 when a lot is going on, other wise i'd be content.

hm, i would definitely go for the second one that is 10 dollars more. but, i have a question on the second one you posted. earlier i was looking at the same exact version of this but the ram inside was ddr5 compared to this one ddr3. is this ram difference worth another 20 dollars or is the difference negligible.

Yes it makes difference but i think it would be small at this range of graphics cards. If you are willing on spending the extra money go for the ddr5 but i believe you are fine with the ddr3 also,if i were you i would get the msi from the first link because of the better cooler(you could also oc it a little) or heres another a little cheaper:

alright i will think about getting the msi branded one in your first post. any other suggestions or recommendations? you've been very helpful, thanks a whole lot.

edit: since you say it has better cooling does that mean it uses more fans or power to do so? would that be bad since my psu is only 300W or does it not really matter. again, sorry for all the questions but i'm not educated on the subject.

As you can see on the photos ot has two fans so it might be a little louder than the other i dont know that, also it uses:
better quality componets=longer life+better overclock
better cooling=longer life+better overclock.
It draws 65watts the other 6670 draw 63watts so the difference is very small
I think you will be fine with your psu.

okay, so out of all the cards you've listed do you believe the msi one with two fans to be the best? i've learned in the past that when you buy electronics you really shouldn't be cheap so i won't mind spending 15 dollars more. thanks.

In my opinion yes,i also have an msi gtx-560ti hawk and the quality is top,and i agree on what you said about electronics so if you dont mind on spending the extra dollars dont even think it,it worths.
