Hello, :hello:
i'm upgrading my ram to 3gb by adding a new 2gb stick in mymotherboard which is zebronics nvidia nf-7050 which supports ddr2 667MHz... This is the ram i've selected... -

http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-ddr2-2-gb-pc-ram-jm66...

watching that it has same speed and memory type.. Would this ram support my motherboard... Is it okay to install different companies ram in any pc.. With same speed and memory type?... I'm having a Dynet 1GB DDR II 667MHz already... And does new ram have to do anything with pin configuration?.. Please answer in detail... Thank you!!

Sorry that was a DDR3 but I would recommend getting a new Mobo and use DDR3. they are faster and better than the DDR2 which are outdated.

If you need help on Mobo selection just ask as I have a few good budget choices.

No.. I could only update my gpu and ram.. My budget's really tight.. I'd be buyind ati hd6670 1gb ddr3 ... Which meets my budget... :D
and a stick of 2gb ram.. Just tell would that ram of which given you the link will support my motherboard?.. Thnx for replying.. :D

I don't think you can install a 2 GB module. I think you need to install another 1 GB memory module so you have the same capacity memory in both slots. Either that, or replace the original 1 GB module also with a 2GB module and run a total of 4 GB.

If you give me your motherboard model number I can tell you for sure.

My motherboard is nvidia 7050 / nforce 610i onboard graphics... I've already searched and it should run till 4gb ram... Please tell whether the ram listed above will support my mobo or not??

Best solution

So that the memory will operate in dual channel mode, which is much faster than single channel mode.

I also think it is just a requirement of many motherboard manufacturers.

c'mon man.. this can't be possible.. installig similar size rams cause it should run with full spped ?? man i've seen many people with 3gb rams.. with running games at high settings.. !! please tell whether that ram would support my mobo or not??
